Major Forestry Lender Successful in Obtaining Protection From Creditors

Lawyers from Boughton Law Corporation recently succeeded in obtaining creditor protection for Forest & Marine Financial Group when they obtained an Initial Order pursuant to the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act.

Alan Brown, Martin Sennott, Hoops Harrison, and others on Boughton's insolvency team, represented the Forestry Lender after it was unable to reach an agreement with the asset based lender/liquidator who recent purchased its $13 million credit facility.

Alan Brown acknowledged that his team was pleased with the result, but that this was only the first  step in what is expected to be a complex restructuring.
