Champion of the World!

Brittanee Laverdure pinned down a bronze world medal at the October 2008 Women's World Wrestling Championship in Tokyo, Japan. As Boughton Law Corporation's sponsored athlete, Brittanee traveled to Tokyo seeking her first world title.

Brittanee wrestled in the 55 kg. weight category and faced China, Japan and finally Poland for the bronze medal. Eventually she returned home disappointed as she narrowly lost the final match and fell just shy of the podium. Since the tournament's completion the International Federation of Association Wrestling Styles (FILA) has advised that the Polish competitor committed an anti-doping rule violation during in-competition doping control at the Worlds. They have swiftly removed the Polish competitor's medal and presented the bronze to Brittanee Laverdure.

Since the tournament, Brittanee has competed in two other tournaments and most recently placed first at the Dave Shultz International Tournament in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Congratulations Brittanee! Boughton Law Corporation is so proud of all your achievements.
