Boughton Law Corporation is proud to have such an accomplished team of female lawyers within our organization, each of them providing their respective practice areas with great expertise.
In 1976 we became one of the first Vancouver based law firms to hire a woman lawyer. At that time, 75 percent of law school graduates were men. Today, women make up more than 50 percent of law school graduates. Each year the number of women students, lawyers and shareholders at Boughton continues to increase. We are pleased to report that in recent years many of our women lawyers have received judicial appointments.
Given the changes in the legal profession we feel it is only prudent to continue to build and maintain an environment that attracts women to the firm, and then sustains and supports their family and career development. It is their experience, contributions to the firm as well as to the community that provide Boughton Law Corporation with a unique perspective and breadth of knowledge.
