Mike Weiler is the leader of the Employment and Labour Group.
Mr. Weiler offers his clients more than 30 years of experience in employment, labour and human rights law. He represents a wide variety of employers in labour relations matters, and also acts for employers and employees in wrongful dismissal and other employment-related actions. Mr. Weiler provides proactive, strategic advice to employers in both unionized and non-union environments to help them anticipate, avoid, and resolve workplace problems.
As an experienced trial lawyer who began his career as a general litigator, Mr. Weiler frequently appears before federal and provincial labour boards, arbitration boards, employment standards tribunals, and human rights tribunals. He also has experience before adjudicators and mediators, the British Columbia Supreme Court and Court of Appeal, as well as the Federal Court of Canada.
Mr. Weiler followed family tradition into a labour relations and employment practice. In 1985 he co-founded a law firm which primarily acted on behalf of management in labour relations and employment law. He strives to provide well-informed personal and practical advice to each and every client.
