We offer extensive experience and counsel on environmental matters to corporations, individuals, First Nations, and non-profit organizations to protect and enforce their interests, ensure their compliance with relevant laws and regulations and, if necessary, defend them against claims.
We provide advice on a full range of environmental issues, including the remediation of contaminated sites, the legal avenues for cost recovery, the applicability, scope and impact of regulatory offences, emissions cap trading protocols, renewable energy options, directors' and officers' liability, residential environmental problems, wildlife protection, federal and provincial environmental assessments, sustainable development (i.e. green technology) and general environmental litigation.
We work closely with our other practice groups and with our Meritas affiliates to provide the best coordinated services possible.
