U.S. Corporate Clients

Boughton’s immigration layers are experienced in providing corporate clients with a full spectrum of U.S. immigration services that will facilitate the quick and efficient relocation of their employees across the Canada/US border, either on a temporary or permanent basis. This includes non-immigrant visas, such as NAFTA – related applications, as well as intra-company transferees, and employment based petitions leading to permanent resident status. (AKA: a Green Card)

Following our initial evaluation of a client’s short or long term U.S. immigration requirements, we recommend the most suitable visa category and a provide extensive assistance and guidance on the documentation required, the drafting of employment letters; the review of corporate documents; the preparation of a complete submission package for the employee; and assistance with obtaining employee education credential assessments. We also counsel each employee as to the procedure for applying for the visa upon their initial entry into the United States.

As immigration considerations are invariably only one facet of any overall business strategy, our lawyers are readily available to coordinate our immigration advice with your tax, legal, financial, and HR professionals. Our lawyers can also recommend other lawyers at Boughton who can assist in most of these areas.
