Our legal research lawyer, Catherine Best, has over 20 years of practical experience in this area, conducting research and analysis on a full-time basis for solicitor opinions and complex litigation, preparing arguments and submissions for administrative boards and all levels of court, drafting legal opinions on a wide spectrum of issues and advising foreign and local counsel on a wide range of Canadian legal issues.
Ms. Best is a past Director of Legal Research and Writing at the Faculty of Law of the University of British Columbia, and the author of the Best Guide to Canadian Legal Research. She is on the Board of Directors of CanLII.
